Waterlancing for CANDU steam generators
Description
Corrosion deposits have been partially removed from a steam generator at Pickering A station by the Booyclean Company, working together with Babcock and Wilcox, using a high-pressure water lance. At the time of writing, the cleaning of the four steam generators at Point Lepreau was scheduled for May 1987. The possible applications of the method to the other CANDU reactors is discussed, together with ideas for getting more complete descaling
