Description
The influence of convective heat exchange on the temperature of a solar voltaic array (SVA) is studied. It is shown that the temperature of a SVA depends significantly on the wind velocity if the temperature of the environment is less than 30 degree C; the temperature decreases by 40%, while the wind velocity increases from 1 to 10 m/s. In this case use of a photo heat-regenerating unit is inefficient. If the environmental temperature is more than 30 degree C, then the change of the SVA temperature depends slightly on the wind velocity and it is necessary to cool it for the efficient operation of the SVA. At a wind velocity of less than 2 m/s the SVA is cooled both due to convective and radiation heat exchange. At a wind velocity of more than 2 m/s the convective heat exchange prevails over the radiation heat exchange. (author)
