Regularities of tungsten combustion with carbon under conditions of thermal activation and synthesis of tungsten carbide

Description
Potentiality of WC synthesis from elements in burning mode under conditions of thermal activation of tungsten carbidizing by a high-energy mixture of the composition Mg+0.5 (-C2F4-)n has been studied. Basic regularities of the process have been ascertained and WC formation mechanism has been suggested on their basis. A method of monophase WC preparation from elements with particle sizes ≥ 0.01 mm has been developed
