On the experimental determination of positron enhancement factors in metals

Recent experimental data on positron annihilation in alkali metals are compared with the results of different theoretical approaches to this problem within the Kahana formalism. The necessity of abandoning the biparabolic formula of Kahana in order to make progress in the investigation of momentum-dependent enhancement factors is emphasised. (author)
