The laser transforms the iodine 129
Creators
Description
The recent results got by some British and German researchers working on laser technologies allow to see a solution for an important radioactive waste of nuclear power generation. these persons have succeeded to transform iodine 129 in iodine 128. This operation made from laboratory lasers have to be made on a big scale to answer to the radioactive waste management. This method could be used in the medical area for the isotope production for scanners. (N.C.)
