Quality control and assurance in building the Dukovany nuclear power plant - crack detection centre

A crack detection centre for quality assurance and control was established at the Dukovany nuclear power plant. The centre checks the qualification of welders and technical personnel, basic and filler material for welding, reinforced concrete units, bushings and built-in anchor elements, the quality of welded joints. All regulations are presented for the said checks and inspections, as is the documentation relating to them. A brief description is presented of the management of inspections and of the centre's instrumentation. (Z.M.)
