Application of nuclear-medical methods in the urological diagnosis

Description
A report is given on the usual nuclear-medical methods applied today in urological diagnostics. These are: isotope nephrography, also called isotope renography (ING, IRG), renal sequence scintigraphy with scintillation camera (RSS), radio-isotope clearance determination, kidney scintigraphy and skeletal scintigraphy of bone metastases of malignant tumours of the urogenital tract. The significance as well as the problems of these diagnostic techniques are shown. Furthermore, the clinical value of the above methods is discussed. (GSE/LH)
Abstract (German)
Es wird ueber die heute in der urologischen Diagnostik ueblichen nuklearmedizinischen Methoden berichtet. Dies sind: Isotopennephrographie, auch Isotopenrenographie genannt (ING, IRG), renale Sequenzszintigraphie mit Szintillationskamera (RSS), Radioisotopen-Clearance-Bestimmung, Nierenszintigraphie und Skelettszintigraphie von Knochenmetastasen maligner Tumoren des Urogenitaltraktes. Die Bedeutung und auch die Problematik dieser Diagnosetechniken wird herausgestellt. Ferner wird der klinische Wert obiger Methoden diskutiert. (GSE)Additional details
