Effect of characteristics of an excitation line on the efficiency of spectral energy transformation by trivalent neodymium ions in yttrium-aluminium garnet

Description
Thermodynamic limitations on the proposed experiment to determine the effect of optical cooling (anti-stokes luminescence) and to obtain a luminous efficiency exceeding unity have been determined in the case of ions of trivalent neodymium in yttrium-aluminium garnet as an example. Processes of energy transfer in the case of laser excitation with the wavelength of 914 nm the luminescence wavelength being 680 nm, are discussed
