Coupled-channels analysis of polarised 6Li scattering at 44 MeV
Description
Recently published coupled-channels calculations of 44 MeV polarised 6Li scattering 26Mg and 120Sn are examined. It is shown that a consistent treatment of the projectile excitation based on the cluster model leads to a quite different conclusion from that of the previous analysis on the competition between the static and dynamical effects on the spin-orbit and tensor interactions. The importance of the careful examination of the d-target spin-orbit potential is also pointed out. A prediction on the scattering of polarised 6Li in the energy range of Daresbury Tandem accelerator is presented. (author)
