Particle simulation of the plasma-wall transition in presence of drifts perpendicular to the wall

  • 1. Max-Planck-Institut fuer Plasmaphysik, Garching (Germany)

Description

The flow of a non-uniform collisionless plasma towards an absorbing wall is modelled with one- and two-dimensional particle simulations. The influence on the plasma flow of the E x B and diamagnetic drift motion perpendicular to the wall is studied. (orig.)
