Solution techniques for the synthesis of superconducting oxides
Description
Several solution techniques used to synthesize the YBa2Cu3O7 superconducting material are described. The use of carboxylates-containing precursors yields viscous solutions suitable for thick film deposition but results in phase separation during the heat-treatment. An alternative procedure based on the coprecipitation of hydroxides has been developed in order to decrease the crystallization temperature. 15 refs.; 3 figs
