Distribution function of electrons of ion-beam plasma in inhomogeneous EH fields

Description
Parameters of ion-beam plasma (IBP) with magnetized electrons, which occurs in the accelerator channel with azimuthal electron drift under strongly inhomogeneous crossed EH fields, are investigated. To find the plasma potential and the function of electron distribution by the energies, methods of a two-fold differentiation of the probe current across the probe potential are used. It is ascertained that plasma potential and electron temperature increase monotonously in the region of magnetized IBP with its appeared to anode. Hypothesis related to the decisive role of electron-electron collisions in the formation of a locally equilibrium function of electron distribution in the region of quasineutral magnetized IBP is confirmed
