Compatibility of niobium with austenitic steels in lithium
Description
Gravimetric, spectral emission, X-ray diffraction analysis and mechanical tests of steel and niobium specimens exposed in liquid lithium were conducted to determine the possibility of common application of niobium and 12Kh18N10T and 09Kh16N15M3B steels in lithium. A conclusion was drawn on the compatibility of materials studied in lithium under static conditions at 800 deg C and 1000 h duration
