MHD throttles with a constant periodic symmetric or periodic asymmetric magnetic field

Description

The object of this study is to analyze, theoretically and on the basis of experimental data, two types of MHD throttles: one with a constant periodic symmetric magnetic field and one with a constant asymmetric magnetic field. Calculations and test results are compared. Comparison of results with other parameters remaining the same clearly indicates a much higher effectiveness of the throttle with an asymmetric magnetic field. 9 references
