Photometric investigation of the eclipsing binary system with relativistic orbital rotation V 889 Aql

Description

Photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary system V 889 Aql have been carried out. Photometric elements and absolute characteristics have been determined. The more accurate value of the apsidal motion rate has been obtained, ωobs=0deg,0155 yr-1, corresponding to the apsidal period U=23200 yrs. The relativistic orbital rotation discovered by Gimenez and Scaltriti has been confirmed. The great contribution of the third light to the total brightness of the system has been revealed, L3=0,185, which appears to be due to the third body
