Bremsstrahlung from high-resistivity dielectrics under medium-energy electron radiation

Description
The measurements of bremsstrahlung yield from dielectric materials in the radiation process by electron beam with 50-100 keV energies are performed. As yield the number of bremsstrahlung quanta escaping from the target and falling on an incident electpon is understood. It is shown that in high-resistivity dielectrics effectively accumulating charges during radiation, a considerable decrease of bremsstrahlung yield occurs and such materials can be used, for instance, as electron radiation screens. In addition the electric fields effect on the bremsstrahlung yield can be used for diagnosing electric fields, investigating dynamics of accumulating space charge studying electAophysical dielectric properties etc
