Induced variability in barley by mutagenic treatments for two successive generations. II. Variability of quantitative characters

Description

The barley populations treated with mutagens for two successive generations are quickly stabilized. The genotypic variability of quantitative character increases sharply in M2. However, selection for yield parameters in M3 was not effective. Intensive restorative processes operate in the experimental populations which make it difficult to isolate micromutations
