Description
A PIXE technique utilizing the 5 MeV Van de Graaff accelerator of ATOMKI, Hungary, for food analysis is presented. Various food samples were analysed, and the results were correlated with air and water pollution data. Element composition of powdered milk and pepper samples obtained by PIXE analysis is given and evaluated. (R.P.) 35 refs.; 5 figs.; 4 tabs
