DOMINO - a program for calculating gamma-ray transport through cylindrical penetrations in protecting walls

  • 1. VEB Kombinat Kraftwerksanlagenbau, Berlin (German Democratic Republic)

Description

The program DOMINO has been developed to compute gamma-ray transport through straight-line cylindrical penetrations in protecting walls. It computes adsorbed dose rate distribution behind a multi-layer protecting wall in the presence of gamma sources with nuclide mixtures using the point kernel integration method. The mathematical and physical approach to solution are presented, comparative calculations discussed, and an example of application of the program is described. (author)
