A study on thermal efficiency improvement of ABWR
Description
Thermal efficiency of the power plants is very important for the global environment and the economy because the improvement of the thermal efficiency produces a great deal of economical profit. In this study, the system of nuclear power plant, ABWR in particular is evaluated. Generally, the methods to improve the thermal efficiency are, for example, to increase the initial pressure in the reactor, to reduce the pressure loss in each equipment of plants, and to increase the stages of feedwater heater. In this study, we focused on the improvement of feedwater heater. It was found from evaluated results that the thermal efficiency was increased. (author)
