Radiation situation assessment around research nuclear center and its prediction

Description
It is known that the technical means used for handling with radioactive substances provide for a high level of radiation safety, and measuring doses of population irradiation generated from wastes of particular nuclear facilities is complicated in terms of natural radiation background. Information about dose rates may be obtained by means of calculations based on investigations of radionuclides emission and disposal and determination of their content in environmental objects.Human irradiation dose calculation, when radionuclides are emitted to the environment, is very complicated task demanding for tremendous experimental material related to a wide range of issues. Radioactive substances, emitted to the environment, are involved in a series of physical, chemical and biological processes, and may get in a human being with different ways. We suggest to use a model for radiation situation prediction through calculation of population irradiation dose generated form radionuclides emission to the environment. The predictive model is a good basis for assessment of a hazard of radioactive substances emission to the environment
