Description

This is a progress report on Fermilab Experiment 531, ''A Search for Long-Lived Heavy Flavors Resulting from Neutrino Interactions in a Hybrid Emulsion Spectrometer''. This experiment, involving counter and emulsion physicists from Canada, Japan, Korea and the United States, was performed in two phases. Phase I data was taken with 7 x 1018 350 GeV protons on target, while Phase II was run with 8 x 1018 400 GeV protons on target. Both runs operated in the conventional Fermilab wide band neutrino beam mode
