Effect of the antiulcerative action (central of peripheral) of the synthetic enkephalin analog dalargin in experimental cysteamine-induced duodenal ulcer in rats

Description
The authors seek to establish the role of central and peripheral opiate receptors in the antiulcerative action of Dalargin. Rats were used in the experiments. A separate experiment was undertaken to study the passage of Dalargin through the blood-brain barrier. For this, the rats were injected with 3H-D-Ala2, D-leu5-enkephalin (3H-DADL). The suppression of 3H-DADL binding in medullar by peripherally injected Dalargin is shown
