Description
Monazite-type ceramics are promising candidates for the conditioning of minor actinides. Monazite (LaPO4) was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and its hydrated form (LaPO4.0.5H2O) was synthesised by co-precipitation. The first characterisation results, structural and morphological combined with thermal behaviour and physical properties, are presented. (authors)
