7 measures for a resilient and independent Europe
Description
This document briefly presents seven measures which aim at favouring the energy resilience and independence of Europe, notably in order to change the present situation (dependence on Russia for fossil gas, oil and coal) and the context created by the war in Ukraine. These measures are: sobriety to quickly reduce energy consumption, a tax on dividends of energy utilities to compensate the over-cost for the most vulnerable households, renewable energies as basis of European energy independence, the priority of energy efficiency and high-performance renovation of buildings, acceleration of the end of sales of diesel, petrol and new hybrid vehicles, and fund raising for transition
