On optical and radio emission accompanying cosmic gamma bursts
- 1. Moskovskij Inzhenerno-Fizicheskij Inst. (USSR)
Description
A possibility of ground-based detection of electromagnetic radiation excited by gamma-ray bursts in the Earth's atmosphere is considered. The estimation of maximum intensity values of the atmosphere luminosity in the band lambda=3914A 10 CN2+, Jsub(max)= CN2+ - Isub(max) = 10-6-10-2 erg/cm2xc, is given. Light flashes with the intensity can be detected by means of solar antenna grating
