Description

The bi-exciton optical Stark-effect due to a dynamical coupling of exciton and bi-exciton states under resonant pumping in the frequency region of the exciton - bi-exciton transition is studied theoretically. The probabilities of bi-exciton two-photon absorption of a weak light and one-photon luminescence are calculated for Zn Se/(Zn, Mn) Se quantum wells. The optical Stark splitting is revealed in a two-photon bi-exciton absorption through two absorption peaks 2ω, were ω is the Raby frequency. In the bi-exciton - exciton one-photon luminescence process, three luminescence maxima appear, which are shifted with respect to the luminescence maximum in the case without pumping. (Author)
