Choosing a radiopharmaceutical for cardiac blood pool imaging
Description
Technetium-99m human serum albumin, in vitro Tc-99m red blood cells, and in vivo Tc-99m red blood cells are clinically useful for cardiac blood pool imaging. The characteristics of each of these radiopharmaceuticals are described and some advantages and disadvantages of each are indicated. A table of considerations is presented for choosing a radiopharmaceutical for cardiac blood pool imaging
