Description
Build-up factors and albedos for monoenergetic beams of gamma rays obliquely incident on finite slabs of concrete, iron, and lead have been calculated using a Monte Carlo code incorporating detailed treatment of bremsstrahlung in the thick target approximation. Results are reported for energies up to 10 MeV, slab thicknesses up to 10 mean free paths, and angles of incidence up to 75 degrees from the normal. (author)
