High power low jitter coaxial field distortion gas-filled switch

Description
A set of high power, low jitter, coaxial field distortion gas filled switch developed for 10 MeV LIA injector has been tested systematically on a single module testing stage. Examination of voltage resistant, determinations of operating conditions, measures of voltage rating, pulsed shapes, trigger time delay and its jitter have been finished. The switch is operated about 3000 shots and a vast amount of scientific data and operating experience are accumulated. A time jitter of 1.43 ns is obtained by optimization of operating condition for the switch of operating voltage at 276 kV. Technical demands of pulsed power system for 10 MeV LIA injector have been satisfied
