Biomimetic synthesis of gum acacia mediated Pd-ZnO and Pd-TiO2 – Promising nanocatalysts for selective hydrogenation of nitroarenes

Description

Highlights: • Gum acacia stabilized Pd/TiO2 and Pd/ZnO were synthesized using hydrothermal method. • Both the as-prepared nanocatalytic systems were found to be efficient for the chemoselective hydrogenation of nitroarenes. • A variety of functionalized amines were obtained as products in higher conversion yields. • Furthermore, both catalysts were easily recovered and recycled five times without any notable loss in the activity.
