Investigation of phase equilibria in Bn-Si3N4-Mg3N2 system under atmospheric and high pressure

Description
Isothermal cross sections of BN-Si3N4-Mg3N2 system at atmospheric pressure and at 5.0 GPa are plotted. The formation of three new compounds is ascertained: Mg5Si2N6 (1), Mg10SiBN9 (2) and Mg7SiB2N8 (3). The compounds (1) and (3) are formed both at atmospheric and higher pressures; the compound (2) - only at high pressure. P,T-parameters of α-BN transition in the presence of Mg7SiB2N8 and MgSiN2 are determined. 13 refs.; 3 figs.; 4 tabs
