Description

The proposed possibilities of the in vivo dosimetry is very wide in the radiotherapy field. The measuring protocol definition is necessary. The in vivo measurements will be then a decision help and are one of the main elements of one quality assurance. The quality control is the greatest aim. The in vivo measuring, independent method of the other therapeutic procedures, are an independent means allowing an independent control. In peculiar cases, the in vivo measurements are also useful to improve the knowledge of the actually absorbed dose, while comparing the obtained data with other methods. The in vivo dosimetry should permit to optimize the treatments. 43 refs
