Radiosensitivity of millipedes

Description
A study was made of the response of millipedes inhabiting different areas of the USSR to γ-irradiation in dosages from 20 to 250 kR. Species inhabiting south areas of high aridity and insolation were shown to be most radioresistant. Sarmatiulus Kessleri Lohm exposed to doses of 20, 30 and 40 kR exhibited regeneration of intestinal epithelium cells at all stages of proliferation
