Description
The channeling method has been used to study the trapping of Al self-interstitials by Cr atoms in an Al-0.07 at % Cr crystal. Al-Cr (100) mixed dumbbell interstitials were created by this trapping during irradiation with 1 MeV He+ ions at 50 or 70 K. The mixed dumbbell configuration was stable up to 200 K. No evidence could be obtained for a change in this trapping configuration between 50 and 70 K. (author)
