Model hamiltonian in the theory of transition metals
- 1. Moskovskij Inst. Stali i Splavov (USSR)
Description
The method is discussed of the model hamiltonian of the transition metal previously introduced within the framework of the Corringi - Con - Rostocker theory. Calculations were made of the energy spectrum, wave functions and density of states of electrons in metallic paramagnetic chromium, nickel and copper. Partial densities of states of electrons of various symmetries are presented. The calculated electron structure was compared with the experiment, and a good agreement between the theoretical and experimental values was obtained
