A kinematic study of neutralized electron rings
Description
Injection of a neutralized relativistic electron ring into a toroidal plasma is shown to increase the toroidal plasma current, provided the aspect ratio (minor to major radius ratio) of the ring is at least η -1/2 times larger than that of the toroidal plasma, where η is the ratio of the major radius of the ring to the major radius of the ring after coalescence.
