Description
The plane steady Couette gas flow with porosity is studied in the presence of a centrifugal field. A model kinetic equation of the BGK (Bhatanger-Gross-Krook) type is used to replace Boltzmann kinetic equation where the collision frequency is assumed velocity dependent. We apply the method of moments to calculate the different macroscopic properties of the gas such as the mean velocity, shear stress, coefficient of viscosity as functions of the distance between two plates and the centrifugal Mach number. Some non-equilibrium thermodynamic prope, ties of the system are investigated namely the entropy, entropy production and internal energy change
