Demand and supply of enrichment services
Description
The demand for enrichment services and for nuclear fuel was calculated in a two-step process: First, nuclear power capacity projections were established covering the range from 1980 to 2025. The second step was the construction of a series of so-called illustrative reactor strategies, to give a broad range for nuclear fuel and fuel cycle services based on the nuclear power capacity figures. The article explains in some detail what was done in these two steps and what was the rationale behind the considerations made by the participants in the Working Group
