Some magnetoelastic properties of terbium monocrystal and terbium-dysprosium system polycrystals
Description
Experimental investigation into the Young E modulus of a terhium monocrystal along the direction of a hexagonal axis c, internal friction Q-1 of this monocrystal, E, Q-1 and longitudinal magnetostriction lambdasub(parallel) of terbium-dissprosium system polycrystals have been carried on in the temperature range of 78-300 K in a magnetic field having indUction of up to 1.5 Tl. E, Q-1 and lambdasub(parallel) anomalies have been discovered near points of magnetic phase transitions THETA1 and THETA2. A magnetic phase diagram has been plotted on the basis of obtained data on the Tbsub(0.125)SDysub(0.875) polycrystal
