Experiment with solar neutrinos is a method of testing for cosmology and cosmogony

Description

The relation of the Davis experiments to cosmology and cosmogony of the solar system is reviewed. The Davis experiments are an attempt to explain a solar neutrino deficit. An investigation of discrepancy between theoretical predictions and experimental results has the aim to search for a factor providing a suppression of high-energy part of the solar neutrino spectrum. Generalized results of measurements performed by R. Davis are tabulated per years. Validity of constructing standard solar models is estimated. Extreme deviations from the ideal uniformity and isotropy of the Universe may be useful in solving the neutrino enigma. 7Li, 3He, and D abundance in the anisotropic and isotropic models of the Universe are plotted. A group of assumptions concerning the cosmogony of the solar system is treated. It is acknowledged that the neutrino experiment made by Davis stimulates attempts to find explanations of the relatively low temperature inside the Sun which prevents origination of a great number of high-energy boron neutrinos. Frequency measurements of radial solar oscillations are found to be highly promising, as oscillations may be used to study the internal structure of the Sun
