Specific features of chromium lattice properties at Neel temperature

Description
In connection with prospects of application of chromium and such chromium base alloys as nonferromagnetic invars and clinvars lattice properties of these materials are a matter of special interst. Anomalies of elastic modules and thermal expansion at Neel temperature wich arise due to collapse of antiferromagnetic energy gap in electron spectrum are under consideration. This involves a change of screening and in the final analysis leads to phonon spectrum variation. Qualtitative explanation of observed features is given. 10 refs
