A liquid target for in-beam experiments
Description
A liquid target consisting of a cloud of small (approximately 100 μg/cm2) oil droplets is described. The target is obtained by using a commercial Diesel injector which sprays the liquid into a differentially pumped target region. The possible use of spray targets as charge strippers in tandem accelerators is discussed. (Auth.)
