Biulding a data base on MOX performance in LWRS

Description
Results of fuel element irradiation in water cooled reactors with mixed oxide fuel are correlated with the data, obtained for fuel elements with UO2 fuel. Advantages of new technological processes of mixed oxide fuel fabrication, developed in Belgium and FRG are noted. It is shown that achieved burnups of up to 46 GW X day/t testify to high reliability of fuel elements with mixed oxide fuel also with respect to gas release and behaviour under conditions of power ramp
