Description
The superconducting transition temperature, Tsub(c), is 1.6 to 1.7 K in Al10V, which has truly localized phonon modes of the Einstein type with an extremely low characteristic temperature. Tsub(c) is independent of the number and the kind, Al or Ga, of local mode oscillators, indicating a small coupling between electrons and localized phonons. Tsub(c) for Al7V is about 0.9 K; for Al6V and Al3V it is less than 1.3 K. (author)
