Ion deceleration in a magnetized electron flux
Description
In the frame of the logarithmic approximation the longitudinal friction force for positive and negative charged ions inside the magnetized electron beam has been calculated. Limitation on the magnitude of the friction force caused by the space charge of the cooling beam is discussed
