Free radical mechanisms of the radio damage of cell membranes
- 1. Kievskij Meditsinskij Inst., Kiev (Ukraine)
Description
Free radical mechanisms of changes in lymphocytes subsets and their functional activity under conditions of low-dose irradiation are established. It is shown that ionizing radiation of doses under 0,25 Gy causes two variants of changes in antioxidant stability, free radical processes, the composition of fatty acids of phospholipid membranes, and free cholesterol contents, which are associated with two opposite variants of the immune function state: immuno activation or immunosuppression
