Description
The advanced SiC/SiC rotating target R and D as a supporting work of "DeeMe" Project is introduced. "DeeMe" Project is an experimental search of muon to electron conversion in nuclear field at sensitivity of 10-14 with pulsed proton beam from RCS, J-PARC. Although basic verification of the scheme by monolithic SiC target is on-going, advanced concept of the rotating target utilizing SiC/SiC composite will bring further attractiveness and advantages with larger flexibility in operation condition and target life time. The major design characteristics and the recent work for making 1/3 scale model fabrication are provided. (author)
