Critical fluctuations and scattering of electromagnetic waves in magnetized plasma with the lower hybrid pump
Description
Fluctuations and scattering of transverse electromagnetic wave by the magnetized plasma-density fluctuations in the presence of parametric decay of the pump wave are investigated. The spectral density of the electron-density fluctuations is calculated. When the pump wave amplitude tends to the threshold strength of the electric field the scattering cross section increases anomalously, i.e. the critical opalescence takes place. 19 refs
