Chemical radiation protection of ovarian follicles of mice by MPG (2-mercaptopropionylglycine)
Description
Quantitative charges in the total population of ovarian follicles were scored at various post-irradiation intervals in the ovaries of drug treated (MPG, 2-mercaptopropionylglycine) and non-drug treated animals. The results indicate that the rapid decrease in the total follicular population has been partially prevented by the drug. The difference between the two groups is greater at the lower dose groups
